Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of websites, applications, software platforms and digital services developed or operated by Nautcore Systems ("Nautcore", "we", "our", or "us").

Nautcore Systems develops software primarily for the maritime, offshore and wind energy sectors.

Our products currently include SeaCoreApp, CrewIDapp and LogCerts.

Certain products may also have additional product-specific terms. Where product-specific terms apply, those terms supplement these Terms of Service.

2. Our Products

Nautcore Systems develops and operates digital products including:

  • SeaCoreApp — maritime and offshore vessel operations software
  • CrewIDapp — certificate, sea service, document and rotation management software
  • LogCerts — certificate tracking and expiry reminder software

Features, availability, pricing and subscription models may differ between products. Not every feature is necessarily available to every customer or subscription plan.

Some services may be offered directly to individual users, while others may be provided to companies, vessel operators or other organisations under a separate commercial agreement.

3. Accounts

Some Nautcore products require a user account.

Users must:

  • provide accurate information
  • maintain the confidentiality of account credentials
  • use reasonable security precautions
  • notify Nautcore of suspected unauthorised access
  • not attempt to access another user's account
  • not misuse the service

Users are responsible for activity performed using their account unless caused by a security failure attributable to Nautcore.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • use our services for unlawful purposes
  • upload malicious software or harmful content
  • attempt to bypass security controls
  • interfere with the operation of our systems
  • access data without authorisation
  • conduct automated abuse or excessive requests
  • reverse engineer the service except where permitted by law
  • resell or redistribute a service without authorisation
  • use Nautcore systems to store fraudulent or unlawful material

We may restrict or suspend access where necessary to protect users, infrastructure or the integrity of the service.

5. User Content and Data

Users retain ownership of content and information they submit to Nautcore products.

By using a service, users grant Nautcore the limited rights necessary to host, process, display, transmit and otherwise handle such data solely for providing and operating the relevant service.

We do not claim ownership of user certificates, documents, vessel records or other customer-created content.

Additional details about personal data processing are provided in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, product-specific privacy policies.

6. Maritime and Operational Information

Some Nautcore products support maritime, offshore, vessel-management, personnel, safety, maintenance or operational workflows.

Nautcore software is designed to assist users and organisations.

Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, Nautcore products do not replace:

  • statutory records
  • mandatory vessel documentation
  • classification requirements
  • flag-state requirements
  • company Safety Management Systems
  • professional judgement
  • applicable maritime regulations
  • legally required inspections or procedures

Users and vessel operators remain responsible for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company procedures and operational requirements.

7. Availability

We aim to provide reliable services but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Services may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • maintenance
  • upgrades
  • technical failures
  • internet connectivity
  • third-party services
  • force majeure
  • infrastructure issues outside our control

Where reasonably possible, we will work to restore service promptly.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Some Nautcore products may require payment or a recurring subscription.

Pricing, billing intervals and included features are displayed before purchase.

For products sold through Paddle, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and manages payment processing, billing documents, applicable taxes and payment-related administration.

Other Nautcore products, particularly enterprise or business services, may instead be supplied under a direct quotation, order form, subscription agreement or other commercial contract.

The commercial terms of such agreement take precedence where they conflict with this general section.

9. Subscription Cancellation

Where a product is offered as a recurring subscription, users may cancel according to the cancellation options provided for that product.

Cancellation normally prevents future renewal charges.

Cancellation does not automatically create a right to a refund for previous billing periods except where required by law or expressly provided under the applicable Refund Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

Nautcore Systems owns or licenses the software, branding, interface design, documentation, source code and other intellectual property used to provide its products.

This includes the Nautcore Systems, SeaCoreApp, CrewIDapp and LogCerts brands and related visual assets.

Users may not reproduce, modify, redistribute or commercially exploit our software or intellectual property without permission, except where applicable law expressly allows it.

11. Third-Party Services

Nautcore products may rely on third-party infrastructure or services.

The exact third-party services used may differ between products.

Where relevant to personal data processing, these providers are described in the applicable privacy policy.

12. Disclaimer

Nautcore products are provided as digital tools intended to assist users and organisations.

Users remain responsible for verifying important operational, regulatory, safety, certificate, document and expiry information.

Automated reminders, OCR, AI-assisted output, calculations, notifications and other automated functions should be reviewed by the user where they may affect an important decision or obligation.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nautcore Systems shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Any additional liability arrangements contained in a separate business or enterprise agreement remain unaffected.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend access where necessary because of:

  • violation of these Terms
  • unlawful activity
  • security threats
  • abuse of the platform
  • non-payment
  • attempts to compromise our systems

Users may stop using applicable services or delete their account where the relevant product provides this functionality.

Data handling following termination is governed by the applicable Privacy Policy and legal obligations.

15. Changes to Services or Terms

We may improve, modify or discontinue features as our products develop.

We may also update these Terms.

Where a material change affects users, we will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate notice.

The current version and its revision date will always be published on this page.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Nautcore Systems and any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to the user.

Nothing in these Terms removes statutory rights that cannot legally be waived.

Where a separate commercial agreement exists, its governing-law provisions take precedence.
